Good day CM Finch Families,
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer break. We are preparing for the return of the children on Tuesday, September 6th. This is a shorter day. School will start at 8:50am, students will be with their classes from last year for the day. New students will be put into classes with students that are the same age as they are. Students will need a recess snack and will be dismissed at 10:48am.
We are hoping to transition into our new classes for the start of the day on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022. The plan is that your child’s teacher will email you to introduce themselves and let you know where to meet their new class on Wednesday morning. If this cannot happen on Wednesday due to changing enrolment numbers, we will email to let you know what our plan is for start-up.
Please note the first day of school for Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 14th, 2022. Your child’s Kindergarten teacher will contact you next week to set up a classroom visit and answer any questions you might have about class and school routines.
School Bell Schedule:
8:30 am Supervision starts, students may arrive.
8:40 am Warning Bell
8:45 am Classes Start
10:30-10:45 am Recess
10:45-10:55 am Snack
10:50-12:00 pm Class time
12:00-12:20 pm Lunch Play
12:20-12:40 pm Eating time
12:40-2:50 pm Class time
2:48 pm Dismissal
3:03 pm Supervision ends
Please find attached a copy of the Intermediate School Supply List. Primary school supplies are provided for to the students for a small fee.
