Sept 12-16, 2022 Finch Newsletter

Good day CM Finch Families,

It has been great to have all the children back this week at school. Please find below information about upcoming events at our school.

School Code of Conduct- Agenda Information

Please take some time to review the schools code of conduct with you child. This can be found on the first few pages of your child’s agenda, if and when they bring them home. It is also helpful if you can write important parent contact information for your child (i.e. cell number) in the front of their agenda as this can make it easier for us to contact you if they forget their lunch or are having trouble finding their ride at the end of the day.

Individual Picture Day: Monday, September 19th

We will be having picture day this year on Monday, September 19th. Mrs. Tanya Hart from Hart Photography will be taking our photos once again this year. More information will be sent home next week.

School Fees:

We are set up to start processing school fees on Monday, September 12th. You are able to pay your fees online through your child’s MyEd BC student account using a credit card. You can also pay the fees by cheque made payable to CM Finch Elementary School, or with cash. If paying with cash please send the exact amount as we will not be able to make change.

If you have not heard from one of our teachers please contact the school to schedule a visit. The first day for Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 14thThis is a full day of school.

Cross Country Running:

We have started our Cross-Country Running practices a recess. If students are wanting to participate in the district cross country running races they need to attend the practices and demonstrate their ability to run the necessary distances. This opportunity is available to all students in grade 3 and up. However, younger students are welcome to come to our practices and get some exercise.

I look forward to having a great school year and working with all of your families. If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.

Kind regards,

Mr. Lang
